What to Expect from the GED Science Module
The GED Science test assesses scientific reasoning — the ability to interpret data, evaluate evidence, and apply scientific concepts to realistic scenarios — across three major content areas. EdSoft's adaptive module prepares learners for all three, developing both content knowledge and scientific reasoning ability.
Life Science
Life science is the largest content area of the GED Science test — covering cell biology, heredity and evolution, ecosystems, and human body systems. Learners develop the ability to read and interpret biological data presented in graphs, tables, and diagrams — the primary assessment format the GED uses.
EdSoft's adaptive life science exercises build both conceptual understanding and the data interpretation skills that GED Science specifically assesses.
Physical Science
Chemistry and physics content — atomic structure, chemical reactions, forces, motion, and energy — are developed at a GED-appropriate level. Learners develop understanding of physical science concepts and the ability to apply them to unfamiliar scenarios.
Earth and Space Science
Earth systems, the water cycle, weather, plate tectonics, and the solar system are explored through the lens of GED-style data interpretation and reasoning.
Scientific Reasoning Across All Content
GED Science rewards scientific thinking above all — the ability to interpret experimental results, evaluate claims, and reason from evidence. EdSoft's module develops these transferable scientific reasoning skills throughout.
